Reinvention

She had this planned a long while back, the haircut. She had so many plans for it, for her to look like Alexa Chung or even Emma Watson (in her wildest dreams). But back then, it always seemed like a half-hearted attempt to let all her hair go. Then she read somewhere that when a girl falls in love, or in her words 'falls in infatuation', she allows her tresses to flourish. But if she falls out of this stage, she has her hair cut. Back then she was holding on to something, a silhouette of someone she used to be very much acquainted with. But then, it is true that it truly takes time for wounds to heal. And now, she's patched up and back to her normal self. And so she let go of her grudges, fears and most importantly, her hair.
